The Day of forest workers is celebrated in Russia on the 20thof September 2015

The Organizing Committee and the Executive Directorate of the III Russian Industrial and Environmental Forum "RosPromEco-2015" congratulate all the Russians on the Day of forest workers!

The day of forest worker was established in 1980 in USSR and is celebrated annually on the third Sunday of September.

Forests cover a triens of the Earth, their gross area in the world is 38 million square kilometers. The total area of forests in Russia is about 8 million square kilometers. The main forest reserves in Russia are concentrated in Siberia, in the Far East, and in the European North. As opposed to forests in other countries, Russian forests are very mature and resourceful.

Forest is the natural wealth, the guaranty of ecological safety and the basis for sustainable development of the country. The priority mission of every state and society is preservation, accruement, thoughtful and rational use of forest resources.

Day of the forest workers is also celebrated in a number of CIS countries.
